The new album from your Penfriend, released 18th April 2025.

I travelled to Lisbon in 2021 and came back with an album title. The title is my umbrella, but it doesn’t tell the full story – the songs do that.

My lyrics told me it was time to face down some of the more insistent ghosts from my past. Equipped with more self-knowledge, experience and (hopefully) wisdom, it was time for me to deal with them as best I could.

But “House Of Stories” isn’t just about me. The title/opening track and “Disco Loadout”, the final song on the album, were among the last to be written. Just as a great story starts with an immersive first sentence, so “House Of Stories” thrusts you into the drama, naming you as the lead character in your own story, urging you to take the reins.

And just as a life-affirming live music experience ends with you standing in the street, sweaty, glittering and somehow changed, “Disco Loadout” sends you off into the cold night with all my love.
